About Us

‘Gadhaba’, pronounced Gud-a-bah, is a Taungurung word meaning ‘Together’.

This is the traditional name adopted in 2012 by the Mansfield Local Aboriginal Network, as it reflects our vision of working together alongside non-Aboriginal people to achieve our goals and aspirations.

GLAN is one of 39 Local Aboriginal Networks established in Victoria to give Aboriginal people a VOICE and empower them to come together regularly to identify and address local priorities.

The GLAN does not represent the Traditional Owners. GLAN is a community based volunteer network that any Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person can join to connect with other local Indigenous people living in and around Mansfield.

GLAN is supported by Aboriginal Victoria, Victorian State Government, through the role of the Aboriginal Community Development Broker.
